AI (Anonymous Iphoneholic) Meeting
Beschrijving
Can you really tell the difference online between a real person, someone pretending to be someone else, or AI pretending to be one of us?
How is it possible that we embrace our relationship with the mobile phone and the digital world so much and also allow it to be frightened? In this interactive and hybrid dance performance, Amit Palgi explores our relationship with mobile phones and the digital online world. Whether you follow the performance physically from the audience, or online from another location somewhere in the world; you have the option to influence the movements of the dancer and the visuals in the set with the data from your mobile phone.
About AI
In AI (Anonimus iPhonholic) Meeting, Amit Palgi explores the ideas of control and power in digital spaces. By creating a dance performance that mixes interactive visuals, dance, artificial intelligence, text messages, and data from the audience he aims to highlight the contrast we are living in: having a physical body while communicating online. This contrast is highlighted by the hybridity of the performance: with an audience watching and interacting with the same performance, either within the theater or online from their home. His goal is to inspire people to keep wondering about the way they interact and share themselves in the current digitallizing world they are living in.
