MONSIEUR DOUMANI:

Yes! The show Monsieur Doumani did at Tankstation in may 2022 still brings smalies to our faces and the urge to dance to our feet. We are very happy that this awesome band from Cyprus will return to our Tankstations stage.

The members of this trio come from Nicosia (Cyprus) but all have different musical backgrounds. However, they are all anamored of the traditional Cypriotic music on various levels. Their compositions combine traditional Cypriot sounds as well as the shaky conditions of today's era forming a style distinctively their own.

With their new album, released by Glitterbeat Records in September 2021, they take it one step further, adding a full, raw-edged psychedelic sound to their music. Their music is sometimes reminiscent of vintage Greek styles, other times of 70s Turkish psychpop and psychrock, but always with their own, distinctive flavor.

In those 10 years Monsieur Doumani played successful concerts all over the world, from Womad to Sziget, from Paradiso to Mupa.
