Zaterdag 1 juli 10:00 uur a.s. is het weer zo ver! Ook in Enschede geven we volle aandacht aan hét meest gevonden stuk zwerfafval ter wereld: de sigarettenpeuk.

Naast de microplastics in het filter die in onze leefomgeving belanden, zorgen de giftige stoffen voor een enorme hoeveelheid grondwatervervuiling.

Wij willen dit klein ogende, maar oh zo vervuilende stuk zwerfafval zo snel mogelijk van de straat krijgen.

Dit jaar doen er enorm veel landen wereldwijd mee. Zo kunnen we de druk opvoeren op lokale en internationale beleidsvoerders.

Plastic Butt Smut goes around the globe!

Saturday the 1st of July, a world wide statement against the cigarette butt will take place. It’s the most founded piece of litter on the streets.

Besides the microplastics of the filter it polutes our groundwater.

It seems to be a small piece of litter, but it has a huge negative impact to the world we live in. Our goal is to remove this out of our streets as soon as possible.

This year people from all over the globe join us to force local and international politicians to make an end to this pollution.
