This summer, Sickhouse takes over the Los Hoes, the old farmhouse in the backyard of the Rijksmuseum Twenthe. In the now renamed "Sickhoes", Sickhouse presents a selection of videos creating bridges between the museum's exhibitions and collection and the research within digital culture of Sickhouse. Expect video art, animations, films, gameplay, videogames and more..

Each month, the new program will be presented with a festive, Sickhouse style interactive night. The first iteration and the opening of Sickhoes are combined with RMT next on Thursday 25 of May from 19.00 to 22.00.

SICKHOES #1 WHO DO WE BECOME?

For the first iteration of the video program in Sickhoes, Sickhouse selected three videos questioning our self becoming within the virtual realm. The videos presented are reflecting on identity within the digital spaces, wondering about virtual and artificial consciousness and reimagining the future of human and non-human relations.

In the animated film Memory of Death’s Dream, Ryan Cherewaty questions the future of human consciousness when viewed from the perspective of an artificial intelligence.
