BHAJAN BHOY

When Ajay Saggar a.k.a. will walk on stage at Tankstation it will not be the first time. About five years ago his former band King Champion Sounds did an impressive show with a seven piece band. For Bhajan Bhoy Ajay tours with a smaller setup and only two people on stage.

His newest project Bhajan Bhoy debuted in June 2020, followed by a cassette only album release in 2022. On Friday 10 March 2023, Bhajan Bhoy released TWO separate albums on the same day, co-released by two highly respected independent labels—Cardinal Fuzz (UK) and Feeding Tube (USA).

Being a musical fanatic, Saggar getss his influences from the obscurities of musical history and recent music, as is showcased in his regular Kosmos Club radioshows at WORM Radio, which explores a kaleidoscopic sonic universe with raga-esque excursions, meditative Dream House drone, folk, dub, electronic soundscapes and heavy guitar riffola (sometimes two chords are enough!).

Bhajan Bhoy is his sound of freedom!
